How to get to Newcastle

This page provides information on how to get to Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Newcastle-under-Lyme is a Borough located in the North Staffordshire area, approximately 2.5 miles from the City of Stoke-on-Trent. To the west lies the fringe of Cheshire and also the outskirts of Shropshire.

The Borough has excellent communications and is well served by the M6, the A34 and the new A50 link road, which gives North Staffordshire a first-class eastern access to the M1.

Regional road links

From North – at junction 16 of the M6, turn left on to A500 southbound. Leave A500 at junction with A34 signposted Newcastle. Remain on A34 (southbound) to Newcastle town centre.

From South – at Junction 15 of M6, turn left at 1stroundabout towards Clayton/Newcastle. Holiday Inn Hotel on left. Across next roundabout, through traffic lights. Go straight on at next roundabout (this is the A519).

The nearest railway station is Stoke-on Trent where you can have direct links to Birmingham and Manchester railway stations.
