If you believe that your dog’s barking is causing a nuisance we can hire a Stop-Bark collar, which can be used as a training aid.If you would like to hire a collar from us please complete a collar application form (PDF 1.2Mb). The form contains details of how the collar should be used.
This can then be posted to us, or handed to our enquiries staff.
We charge £15 for the hire of the collar for a period of two weeks. You will need to pay for the collar in advance. Payment can be made by telephone to the Borough Council's Customer Services Team by calling 01782 742571, or by visiting the Guildhall. Cheques can be posted to the Council's Civic Offices.
What we do
- On receipt of a completed application form, and payment of the appropriate fee we will contact you and arrange to visit you at home.
- The officer will supply the collar, and advise how you should use the training aid
- The collar will have full tank and fresh battery.
- We will also provide a refill canister
Additional supplies can be purchased from some vets.
