Staffordshire County Council Social Services Department Family Placement Teams provide adoption services for children and young people who need a permanent family and for people who wish to adopt a child or young person.

Fostering Service

Where children or young people cannot be supported in their own families, they may be looked after by the Social Services Department. We have a range of foster homes and children's homes throughout the County and aim to place each child or young person after careful assessment of their needs and wishes. Supported lodgings are available for older young people, who are preparing for independence.
