Newcastle Landlord Accreditation Scheme

A partner of the Landlord Accreditation Scheme - North & Central Staffordshire

The Landlord Accreditation Scheme - North & Central Staffordshire has been developed as a partnership between Newcastle Borough Council, Stoke City Council, Stafford Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.  The scheme covers the whole of North Staffordshire.  The scheme also works in partnership with the North Staffordshire Landlords Association.

Aim of the scheme

The aim of the scheme is to improve both the physical and management standards of the private rented sector throughout North Staffordshire.  This will be accomplished not only through the provision of encouragement, support and incentives but also by actively working with and publicly recognising those landlords who are willing to attain and adhere to good quality standards.

Who can apply?

Membership of the scheme is open to any individual owning residential property within the boundaries of North & central Staffordshire, whether they be locally based or not

Membership fee

As of 1st April, 2011 there will be a fee of £60 for a 2 year membership.  Basic half day development courses will cover topics such as tenancy management & housing standards.  Attendance on the courses are compulsory.
