Council Services |
Newcastle Borough Council is one of the area's biggest employers with posts in a wide variety of occupations. Our staff benefits package includes flexible annual leave arrangements, excellent training and development opportunities and a contributory pension scheme.
The Council's overall vision is 'To lead the Borough by developing a safer, fairer, more prosperous and sustainable community'.
To achieve that we recognise that the contribution of our staff is crucial and we are working towards achieving the Investors in People Standard. As a good employer, we are also committed to training and developing our staff to meet those aims.
Newcastle-under-Lyme is a Borough with a proud history and an exciting future, with many exciting redevelopments currently underway. The Borough's closeness to major motorway routes between Manchester and Birmingham has been boosted recently with the development of the A50 linking across to the M1.
These excellent communication links have played a key role in developing the local economy and resulted in a number of national and international distribution companies setting up bases in the Borough.
The beauty of local rural villages and the diverse mixture of the main towns of Newcastle and Kidsgrove combine to make the Borough an ideal place to live, work and visit. The Borough offers all types of accommodation to suit individual tastes and boasts an excellent range of schools and a local college.
The Borough Council has set up this online jobs service to make it quicker and easier for people to apply for positions with the authority.
Each vacancy that is advertised provides an Application form and Equal Opportunities monitoring form to either complete online, or download and complete off-line.

However, in returning your application electronically, you are doing so on the basis that you accept the contents of the declaration section of the application form.
