Kidsgrove Sports Centre


Situated just outside Kidsgrove town centre the sports centre is easily accessible and has free parking.

The 25m x 12.5m pool is open for early morning, lunchtime, evening and weekend swimming. There is also a teaching pool and a range of lessons are available for both adults and children.

The Health Suite is open every day and offers the perfect way to relax with its sauna cabin, eucalyptus steam room and relaxation area.

The sports hall caters for activities such as 5-a-side football, netball, volleyball, badminton, basketball, gymnastics, cricket and volleyball. Outside there is an astro turf pitch which is used for football, rugby and hockey training.

The centre holds classes including  20:20 body conditioning, spinning, aerobics, boxercise and lifesaving so there is bound to be something to suit everyone.

We have 'The Challenge' in the main pool every Saturday 1 - 2pm.

Free Swimming

Due to the withdrawal of funding from government the Free swimming program will cease on the 31st July 2010.

From 1st August 2010 the over 60's will need to join the Activ8 Scheme to receive a reduced rate for swimming of £1.80. Alternativley they can join Castle Gym on a off peak Direct Debit membership of £18 per month and have unlimted swimming and gym sessions. Off peak times are 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday

Under 16's will be able to swim for free during the summer holidays as part of the SPLAT  programme. Every child eight to 16 will need to registre as a Jets member. Registration is free from now until 5th September. FREE swimming sessions are 10am - 12pm at the centre. Children under 8 may swim for free at the same time but they must be accompanied by a paying adult. On the 6th September normal child addmisson charges will apply.
