Assessment and negotiation
Each application is allocated to a case officer who will visit the site, assess the proposal against planning policies and prepare a recommendation. The officer may make suggestions to improve the proposal or to overcome planning objections.
To find out the progress of an application, visit the Borough Council’s online application system or for more complicated matters please contact Regeneration and Planning Services for an appointment, as Planning staff may otherwise be unavailable when you call.
Where significant alterations are made to a proposal after it has been registered, a further period of publicity may be required before a decision can be made.
