Adjust Text/Screen Size

Text Size

Many websites now offer text size adjustments, but this may not help you get the most from the internet.

All modern browsers have controls to adjust text size and by using these you will not have to alter the settings on each website you visit.

Follow the instructions below to adjust your web browser.

  • Internet Explorer 6 - Select View > Text Size
  • Internet Explorer 7 - Select Page > Text size
  • Firefox - Select View > Text Size
  • Opera - Select View > Zoom
  • Safari - Select View > Make Text Bigger/Smaller

Screen Size

Setting your screen resolution can seriously improve your enjoyment of the web! Not just our site but the web as a whole.

Screen resolution dictates just how large everything appears on the screen and larger resolutions can mean that web pages do not fit on your screen.

Our website is designed to work properly at a resolution of 1024 x 768, as many modern websites are and we'd recommend you alter your settings to this.

To alter your resolution follow the instructions below.

  • PCs

Under the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
    Click on Display.
    Click on the Setting tab.
Slide the bar in the Desktop Area to select a screen resolution.
Click on the Test button to preview the size of your screens.
Click OK in the pop-up box.
    Click the OK button.

  • Macs

Under the Apple menu, select Control Panels > Monitors.
    Click on the Monitor button.
Under Resolution, select the number of pixels.
