To report a problem with roads please either:
Staff will ask you a few brief questions on the type of problem and its location.
From this information a report will immediately be sent for action. When your details are taken, your complaint will get a unique reference number, so you can track its progress.
The Staffordshire Clarence Contact Centre is open between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
If you wish to report an urgent or emergency highway defect or fault outside the Clarence Contact Centre opening hours which need to be attended to urgently, please ring 08700 555500 .
You will be asked to quote a pager area number, as a call sign, to enable the relevant duty superintendent to be contacted.
Staffordshire County Council provide an online 'live' update of roadworks that are currently underway and roadworks that are planned for the upcoming months.

Roads, pavements, street lights and signs, road drains, traffic lights in the Borough are maintained by Staffordshire County Council Highways Department. There are over 3,077 miles of roads, over 100,000 road lighting units and illuminated signs and 270 pedestrian and traffic control facilities maintained by Staffordshire County Council.
