Joint Operations Group Funding (JOG)

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council administers a grant funding process for the Newcastle Partnership via the Joint Operations Group (JOG).

Project proposals should respond to local needs and hotspots identified by the JOG and should show commitment and support.

Successful proposals will need to show that they are sustainable after the project ends or that they effectively address the issue identified without the need for partner intervention.

Projects to be supported should comply with at least one of the objectives of the Sustainable Communities Strategy 2014 – 2020:

  • Combat vulnerability
  • Economic growth

And fulfil at least one of the outcomes from the Newcastle-under-Lyme Local Police and Crime Plan 2017-2020, which are:

  • Supported protected and confident communities
  • A safe, clean, healthy and sustainable borough
  • Increased opportunities for local residents, visitors and businesses

To deliver against the priority crime and disorder risks facing the Borough which are:

  • Substance misuse and mental ill health
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Criminal exploitation
  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Youth Violence and gangs

Before submitting an application, you are advised to contact the Partnership Team to check that your organisation and project meet the criteria for the grant scheme in question.
