Salary: Grade 4 to 5 - £19,312 to £21,748 per annum

Contract: Permanent 

Hours: 37 per week, evening work required 

An exciting new position has become available within the ICT team at Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council for an experienced / recently qualified Audio Visual / ICT Officer to support the authority with its audio-visual needs moving forward. 

The primary role of the Audio Visual Technician / ICT Officer is to provide support to those Council services offering hybrid meeting facilities to staff, councillors and the public for attending and recording council meetings via multimedia applications such as TEAMS and Zoom, to guide and advise as to best practice for future hybrid council meetings.

The secondary role of this position will be the support of internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non-routine problems via the ICT Service Desk. 

The Audio Visual Technician / ICT Officer will deliver, train and support all staff wishing to use Council recognised multimedia platforms to provide a professional and efficient public facing service. 
In addition, this person will partake in the day-to-day operation of the ICT Service desk when not supporting the AV role within this position.

The post holder will actively engage with our users to help them develop their ICT technical capabilities, champion the use of technologies and continually improve our services to staff and the wider public.

This position will involve attending some on site evening meetings to set up equipment and then monitor / record council meetings as required.

Ideally, candidates would already be supporting hybrid meetings or have recently qualified from an AV Apprenticeship scheme.

Travel between sites is essential, Access to a vehicle suitable for business use and a full driving licence is required
