Part-time Sports & Active Lifestyles Assistant (Lifeguard)

Operational Services

Grade 4 - £17,391 to £18,672 per annum, pro rata (plus enhancements)

22 hours per week  

 

You will be providing supervision and a ‘can do’ attitude in our swimming pools and activity areas.  You will also need to ensure that facility presentation is a key priority.  As an important team member, you will be familiar with the facility programmes and ensure that activity areas and changeovers are achieved in a professional and timely manner.

You must be familiar with and adhere to, the Council’s Health and Safety Policy, helping us to deliver safe, enjoyable activities at all times.

You should have experience of a customer facing environment within the leisure industry.

You must possess a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and preferably a First Aid at Work Certificate.

Hours of work are 22 hours per week.  The postholder will be required to work evenings and weekends, for which appropriate enhancements will be paid.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure & Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.  This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions.
