An exciting opportunity has arisen in join the Development Management Team at the Borough Council. You will be either a Trainee Officer or Planning Officer responsible for dealing with pre-planning application enquiries, planning applications, enforcement cases and appeals. The team forms part of the Council’s Planning Service.
The successful candidate will either have a Royal Town Planning Institute accredited degree or be prepared to undertake, with the Council’s support, such a degree course.
If you do not already have an RTPI accredited degree you will meet the entry requirements for RTPI accredited courses and as such you will be likely to have a degree or equivalent in Town and Country Planning or a closely related qualification.
Ideally you will be a Student, Associate, Licentiate or Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
You will have
• excellent IT, report writing, presentation, interpersonal and negotiating skills;
• commitment/enthusiasm and ability to work to strict deadlines;
• a current valid driving licence and access to a vehicle that is available for work purposes.
