Due to covid-19 (‘coronavirus’) Jubilee2 is closed until further notice.
Disabled people are less than half as likely to take part in sport than non-disabled people, and we at Jubilee2 are committed to changing this by making sport a practical and enjoyable choice for all.
We can offer inclusive (for people with a disability and their family and friends) and exclusive (for people with a disability only) activities to suit your needs.
Our staff are trained to help you to achieve your goals. There is no need to book in advance, you can just turn up to all of these activities. Carers can support for free.
Goalball is an inclusive sport for participants with and without visual impairments (anyone without a visual impairment will be blindfolded). The object of the game is to roll the ball into the opposite goal while opposing players try to block the ball with their bodies. It is great fun and a good workout!
The session, held every Wednesday at 8.30pm, is available to anyone aged over 16 and is the normal price for a class at Jubilee2 (£5 / £3.80 concession).
Adult Multi-activity session
The sessions include boccia, chair-based exercise, indoor kurling, seated volleyball and team-building activities. The sessions are exclusive, suitable for all abilities and are open to anybody aged over 18. The benefits of this session are social interaction, improved fitness levels, weight loss and increased mobility levels.
Every Wednesday, 2pm-3pm. £3.80 per session.
Chair-Based Exercise Class
Our chair-based exercise class is a cardio workout but it is all done sitting down. This is an inclusive session; you will get your heart rate up whether you are healthy or whether you are struggling with mobility or rehabilitating from an illness or injury. Sessions are open to anybody aged over 18.
Every Friday, 10.30am-11.15am. £3.80 per session.
Splash is a swimming session in our teaching pool, exclusively for people with disabilities to have fun and keep fit.
Every Wednesday, 6pm-7pm, the cost is the price of a normal swim, £2.20 for children, £4.80 for adults and £3.30 for concessions.
