Celebrity organ concert

St Giles Parish Church, Church Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 1QS

Saturday 4 November 2023 - 12:00 noon

An exciting organ concert with popular music given by Philip Rushforth the organist of Chester Cathedral. This will be an opportunity to hear this magnificent instrument which is one of the treasures of Newcastle and has recently been overhauled and restored. There is also an opportunity to view this amazing church designed by George Gilbert Scott a leading Victorian architect This event is a joint venture with the North Staffs and District Organ Society.

Cost: free but donations welcomed

Staffordshire junior chess championships

The Staffordshire junior chess championships is a 6 round rapidplay event to determine who are the county champions at different age groups. Players must be members of the English chess federation.
