About Time: a dance celebration of the 850th year of Newcastle-under-Lyme by Daniel Jones
NSCG Performing Arts Centre, Knutton Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 2SL
Thursday 4 May 2023 - 5pm and 7.30pm (2 performances)
The 1 hour show includes a performance by professional dancers, Daniel and Kei Jones.
'About Time' includes original music and choreography performed by local residents and Newcastle College Performing Arts students celebrating aspects of periods of time in Newcastle-under-Lyme through dance by Daniel Jones.
Cost: £10 and £8 concession

King's Coronation Market

In celebration of #Nul850 and His Majesty, King Charles III's Coronation on Saturday, 6 May 2023, Newcastle-under-Lyme markets will be hosting a royal themed market on The Stones. There will be super, regular general market traders plus our event market indies and entertainers to provide a fun day in town for all residents and visitors. If you'd like to reserve one of the vacant stalls on-the-day, trade from a self-supplied gazebo, van or use one of our limited supply then get in touch on 01782 620519 or email markets@newcastle-staffs.gov.uk. Stalls cost just £5 and Public Liability Insurance is free for 18-30 year olds.

Live Stream of the King's Coronation and children's craft

Join Brampton museum for a children's craft activity fit for royalty- paint your own coronation themed ceramic tea light to take home- and an indoor street party suitable for any weather. Treat yourself to delicious cake and sandwiches from the tea room and watch as we attempt to live stream the coronation in London on our big screen.

A Walk Around Red Lion Square Newcastle

Meet in Merrial Street outside the Carlton (former Conservative Club), for a 11 am start.
Mervyn's Mondays history presentations presents an hour long history walk discussing past and present buildings associated with Red Lion Square including the two cinemas, shops such as Blockley's and Wain's, public houses including the Three Tuns and the Globe Commercial Hotel plus the construction of modern shopping facilities in the late 1960s.
Cost: £3 pay on the day.
