Fascinating folk of Newcastle film show: Sporting legends

A special archive film show from Ray Johnson looking back at the sporting legends of Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire. It will look back at fascinating sportspeople including cricketer Sydney Barnes (1873-1967) who went from playing at Porthill Park club house to batting against the West Indies, and 'fighting flyweight' King Tut (Tut Whalley) in the 1930s.

Brampton Museum is celebrating its 80th birthday. Join the Newcastle Ukulymies ukulele group for a feel-good party with tunes stretching from the museum's opening in 1943 to the modern day- with lots of local history facts on the way.
