Profile

Nicky's current role at YMCA North Staffordshire involves building social capacity for children and young people and creating opportunities to transform lives. She believe in building community and helping people to unlock the skills that they have.

Nicky is part of the business development team, fundraising and leveraging investment into the city. Though her work she led on the UK's first national youth debates, engaging thousands of young people in political debates across eleven cities.

Nicky has chaired the cultural education partnership for the past three years, securing investment into arts education, growing a movement of over 300 organisations, and delivering creative activities to over 15,000 children and young people.

She also co-chairs Stoke Creates, a creative cultural compact for North Staffordshire, bringing together Stoke-on-Trent City Council, both universities, national portfolio organisations and philanthropic donors to increase investment into arts across the area.
