The 'Art' of Domestic Violence Campaign...

COMMUNITY Safety staff are putting their ‘art’ into raising awareness of domestic violence in the run-up to Valentine’s Day…

An eye-catching heart-shaped design – made up from words associated with the crime – forms the centrepiece of a one-day campaign by the Borough Council this weekend (Saturday, 11 February).

It will be displayed on a van, which will travel around the borough to promote local and national helpline numbers for victims of domestic violence.

The vehicle will be parked at various main supermarket sites – including Morrisions and Sainsbury’s in Newcastle, Tesco in Kidsgrove, Wolstanton retail park, and Freeport at Talke – between 10am and 6pm on Saturday.
