Briefing For May Election Hopefuls

Candidates and agents have been invited to a session at the Civic Offices as they prepare to contest seats at the first ever all-out borough council elections in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Returning Officer John Tradewell has issued the invitation for Monday, 19 March at 5pm.

The session will take place in the Council Chamber at the Civic Offices in Merrial Street, Newcastle.

Mr Tradewell and his staff will provide an overview of key information points for the forthcoming elections to assist prospective candidates, and their agents, in the run-up to polling day on 3 May.

Nomination packs will also be available to collect at the meeting.

People who are unable to attend the session have been advised that they can ask for a nomination pack to be sent to them by e-mailing electreg@newcastle-staffs.gov.uk providing their name, address and whether they require a borough council nomination pack and/or a town and parish council nomination pack.

People who do not have access to e-mail can also phone 01782 717717 to request a pack.
