Enjoy Free Half-term Tweet at Brampton Park
Families are being encouraged to explore the great outdoors during the school holidays.
The Council is teaming up with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust to run a “Bird Challenge” at Brampton Park on Wednesday, 19 February from 1pm to 3pm.
Visitors can make and decorate bird boxes, build a themed obstacle course and challenge family and friends to a race or create a giant bird nest or bird hide to spot local wild birds. There will be additional bird-related activities as well as other ways to enjoy wild play.
The free drop-in session, suitable for all ages, is funded by Children in Need. It’s part of the Newcastle in Bloom campaign and celebrates National Nest Box Week.
Officers will be based at the bee sculpture tree near to the entrance to the Brampton Museum. Warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty are recommended.
