Guildhall Hosts Keele Growth Corridor Exhibition
An exhibition is to be held at the Guildhall to give residents more information on growth plans in the Keele area.
The display is open to anyone with an interest in the initiative which involves the future development of Keele University, land adjacent to the education site and also a small area in Silverdale.
It will take place on Wednesday, 10 October, and will run from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
Cllr. Paul Northcott, the Council’s Cabinet member with responsibility for planning and growth, said: “The Council thought it an ideal opportunity to hold this event at the Guildhall as we want to show that it is still the heart of the town centre and a key part of its future.”
A representative from BDP, the firm of consultants who carried out a major master planning exercise to inform the plans, will be in attendance at the exhibition alongside Cllr Northcott to answer any questions about the scheme.
Cllr. Northcott added: “We hope that people take the time to come along and talk to us and to find out more about the exciting future developments at Keele.”
The exhibition is the latest in a series of public engagement events being run as part of the Joint Local Plan, this time focussing on the Keele University Growth Corridor, and is free to attend.
