Borough residents are invited to dance the night away while raising much-needed funds for the Mayor’s charities.
Diabetes UK North Staffordshire and Canine Partners are set to benefit from the Mayor’s Spring Ball, hosted by Cllr Ian Wilkes at Keele Hall on Friday, 21 April.
There will be a four-course meal, served at 8pm, a tombola, raffle, dancing and live music from the acclaimed Jake Leg Jug Band.
The band is known across the UK for their authentic 1920s and 30s jazz, blues, vaudeville and gospel music.
Tickets cost £38 each and are available by contacting Peter Whalan, the Mayor’s secretary, on 01782 742226 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, 7 April.
Canine Partners is a national charity, providing and training dogs to help people with everyday tasks such as picking up dropped items or unloading the washing machine. North Staffordshire has a local Diabetes UK group which helps raise awareness of diabetes, hosts events and supports families affected by diabetes.
