Search Starts for New Chief Executive
A recruitment campaign has got under way to appoint a new Chief Executive for Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council.
National advertising has been placed to generate as much interest as possible in the post.
A full-page interview with Council Leader Simon Tagg in the Municipal Journal – together with a job advert – was published today.
In the article, Cllr. Tagg talks about the attractions of the post, the type of person the Council is looking for and also the challenges the local authority is looking to meet.
He said: “This is a really exciting opportunity. The Chief Executive will be joining us at a good time and have the chance to lead on several major developments that have the potential to transform our borough.”
The Leader added that the Council hopes to be in a position to make an appointment by the middle of November and have a new Chief Executive in post by February next year – although this will obviously depend on the successful candidate and their current employment position.
