Women in Newcastle-under-Lyme are being urged to join in with the latest trend for walking sports.
The Borough Council has organised its first Walking Netball programme, starting on Monday, 9 January.
It is a chance for women to revive their passion for netball and get fit in a friendly, low impact way.
Sport England have reported an upsurge in demand for walking sports as people want to keep fit and active whatever their age or ability.
And England Netball say they are seeing people return to the sport, years after they last played at school, as well as attracting new players who want a fun, sociable way of keeping fit.
Sessions are being held on Mondays (11am - 12 noon) at Keele University Sports Centre and the Michelin Sports Centre, Rosetree Avenue, on Wednesdays (10.30am – 11.30am). The cost is £2.50 per session and there is a £1 parking charge at Keele University.
