Pest control of fleas, bedbugs and cockroaches
What happens afterwards
Wait for the chemical to dry before returning to the room. We recommend you stay out of the treated room for 3 hours if possible.
You’ll need to wipe over any surfaces where you prepare food, but should not vacuum or mop treated carpets for 2 weeks after treatment as this will remove the insecticide we’ve applied.
If we’ve used a spot treatment, make sure you know where these are and that they are not cleaned away.
The chemical will continue to work for some time if left alone.
Adult pests will be killed within a few days but the floor should not be vacuumed, swept or washed for at least two weeks after treatment because there will still be eggs which will continue to hatch. As eggs hatch and develop, you might find pests reappearing 10-14 days after treatment - this is quite normal and provided the insecticide remains in place it will kill them.
Insect treatment guarantee
Pest control treatments do not always have immediate effect. We will use sufficient amounts of appropriate materials to ensure that the insect problem is successfully resolved. If you notify us within one calendar month that the treatment has not been successful, we will make another visit to treat at no extra cost.
This guarantee does not apply if:
- the infestation is not the same as previously treated – for example a different colony of ants in a different part of the property
- the client has not followed the pest control officer's advice – for example if they have washed away the chemicals used
- payment for the service has not been received
