Cancellation

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 allows you to cancel this contract if you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or services. We consider this 14-day period commences when our first treatment visit occurs. If you cancel within this period, we will either refund payment in full or cancel any pending invoice. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by a clear statement including details of your name, treatment site address, and contact details so we may confirm receipt of your request. 

The client may terminate the agreement at any time after the first 14 days, by advising the council that it services are no longer required. Where an agreement is cancelled, after the first 14 days, no refund will be made. 

The council reserves the right to terminate the agreement with 30 days’ notice, if it is unable to deliver the service agreed. In such cases the council will refund pro rata the charge paid, based on the period of the agreement remaining and the number of Site Inspections, Bait Checks and Insect Treatments (where appropriate) which are unused. 

Neither party shall be responsible for any failure or delay in the performance of their obligations under this Agreement because of circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
