Chimney height approvals
What we can do
Under the Clean Air Act 1993, you need to get our approval to use a furnace that uses a chimney:

to burn pulverised fuel

to burn, at a rate of 45.4 kilograms or more an hour, any other solid matter

to burn, at a rate equivalent to 366.4 kilowatts or more, any liquid or gaseous matter
If you do not get our approval before using it, you will be committing an offence.
