The Book of Remembrance Hall

Book of remembrance

The Book of Remembrance Hall is where the book of remembrance pages are displayed in cabinets.

An entry in the book of remembrance is a beautiful, permanent inscription in memory of a loved one. The inscription can be up to 8 lines long and an emblem or image can also be added to make it more personal and meaningful.

Emblems and images include, but are not limited to, flowers, animals, badges, vehicles and objects. You can either provide a photograph or image that can be copied or you can request a generic design to be chosen by the calligrapher that cannot be altered after completion.

Opening times

The Book of Remembrance Hall is located next to the Service Hall and is open every day of the year:

  • 9:00am to 4:30pm weekdays
  • 10:00am to 4:00pm weekends and bank holidays

Online viewing

Pages of the book are physically displayed in the hall on a week-by-week basis so that the individual inscriptions are on display for the whole week containing the chosen entry date.

For those who cannot physically visit or wish to view the inscription at a different time of the year than it is displayed, the Book of Remembrance pages can also be viewed any time online.
