How to pay for parking

If you use one of our pay and display car parks you can also opt for 'cashless' payments by phone.

What is the scheme?

The 'PaybyPhone' cashless parking scheme provides motorists with:

• a quick, easy and safe way to pay for parking in advance

• text confirmation that parking has been booked

• a reminder when the session is due to expire

You also have the facility to extend parking sessions via the app, phone or text. This allows you to stay longer in the town centre without having to return to your car.

Are there any fees?

A 7p transaction fee is payable for initial parking, with options to pay for a text reminder, for extending parking (where permitted) and for a confirmation text.

The system provides for full VAT receipts.

Follow the instructions on the notices in the car park to give the correct site code to identify which car park you have parked on.
