Corporate governance code of conduct
This code of conduct applies to our elected members and officers. It describes how we make sure it does the right things, in the right way, for the right people.
The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) recommend that every council has a local corporate governance code of conduct to ensure that we are accountable for the proper conduct of public business and that we review the effectiveness of its arrangements.
