Small society lottery permit

A small society lottery is promoted on behalf of a non-commercial society for:

  • charitable purposes
  • the purpose of enabling participation or supporting sport, athletics or cultural activity
  • any other non-commercial purpose other than private gain

The sale of tickets must be less than £20,000 from a single lottery, or less than £250,000 in a calendar year.

You will need a permit from the Gambling Commission.
