Small society lottery permit
A small society lottery is promoted on behalf of a non-commercial society for:
- charitable purposes
- the purpose of enabling participation or supporting sport, athletics or cultural activity
- any other non-commercial purpose other than private gain
The sale of tickets must be less than £20,000 from a single lottery, or less than £250,000 in a calendar year.
Small society lottery returns
For each lottery that you hold you will need to complete a lottery return form no later than three months beginning from the day of which the draw (or last draw) in the lottery took place.
You must also complete a 'nil' return if there are no proceeds from the lottery.
