Job opportunity: Lifeguard (part time)
This job position is within the Commercial Development and Economic Growth Directorate - Sport and Active Lifestyles.
Grade 4 - £19,312 to £19,698 per annum, pro rata (plus enhancements)
We have two part time opportunities available:
- Post 1: week one: 21 hours per week and week two: 17 hours per week (average of 19 hours per week)
- Post 2: week one : 20 hours per week and week two: 13 hours per week (average of 16.5 hours per week)
Hours of work are 15 hours per week. The postholder will be required to work evenings and weekends, for which appropriate enhancements will be paid.
About the job
You will be providing supervision and a ‘can do’ attitude in our swimming pools and activity areas. You will also need to ensure that facility presentation is a key priority. As an important team member, you will be familiar with the facility programmes and ensure that activity areas and changeovers are achieved in a professional and timely manner.

You must be familiar with, and adhere to, our Health and Safety Policy, helping us to deliver safe, enjoyable activities at all times.
You should have experience of a customer facing environment within the leisure industry.
You must possess a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and preferably a First Aid at Work Certificate.
