We've been to several talks and film shows at The Brampton Museum, they have all been very different, very interesting, really informative and great fun! We are so lucky here in Newcastle to have people willing to give their time and effort to provide both information and entertainment, and to make us all feel so very welcome. The atmosphere at The Brampton is always lovely, there's a cafe that looks enticing and there's a great selection of locally-based and produced cards and other items on sale. No, we're not related, we're just proud of our Museum and thoroughly grateful to the team for all they do. Can't recommend it highly enough!

My friends & I Absolutely love the museum & enjoy all the history talks by our local historians, film presentations. Kath's Reminiscence Talks are very amusing & fun, wonderfully presented & she gets everyone chatting, great company & a cuppa!! Tea room menu with lovely fresh food served. Our grandaughters enjoy the entertainment & education & have such fun dressing up in costumes in the toy area. Not forgetting the volunteers who do a fantastic job. Ray Johnson's film on Arthur Berry last Saturday was amazing/ briliant & we are all hoping to see & hear more of Arthur's talks/presentations this brilliant centenary celebration to recognise his talents, amusing poetry (Ode to An Oatcake..my favourite)& his plays, reflecting our history in the Potteries. We all look forward eagerly to forthcoming events

It's always a great experience to visit The Brampton Museum. A beautiful, historic building which not only holds a wealth of Newcastle's heritage but also hosts exhibitions and film events based on interesting episodes connected to the area. With a superb café, function room, good parking and cheerful, helpful staff it really is worth a visit. Ray Johnson's latest film show, as always, was fascinating.

What a fantastic museum! Great exhibits, excellent food and cuppa from the cafe, but mostly what a thriving, friendly, reaching-out place. We went for the Black Victorians afternoon and there was so much happening that we could get involved with. Spent a very happy hour making a collage. (Why don't adults get to do this sort of thing more often?) Highly recommended and I will definitely be visiting again, even though I live an hour away in Shropshire.
