Examination and referendum

Our role:

  • we will send the neighbourhood plan and supporting documents to the planning inspectorate
  • the examiner’s report and our decision statement will be published on our website
  • we will send the decision statement to the neighbourhood plan lead authority and all necessary consultees
  • we will publish an information statement and notice of referendum on their website
  • the extent of the electorate who will be eligible to vote in the referendum will be determined by the type of neighbourhood plan to be prepared
