Register of locally important buildings and structures supplementary planning document (SPD)

We have adopted a register of locally important buildings and structures supplementary planning document (SPD).

The SPD is concerned with the process which identifies buildings to be included on the register. It explains the implications for being included on the register and how it will become a material consideration in the planning process.

The SPD was adopted on 14 March 2012. The purpose of the SPD is to state how we will consider and treat local heritage assets on the local register.

The documents produced for the register can be downloaded and include the following:

  • consultation statement
  • report taken to Cabinet on 14 March 2012
