Terms and Conditions

  1. The caravan together with requisite toilet facilities is to be located in the layby as directed by the Executive Director Regeneration & Development. The trailers shall be sited with due regard to all aspects of highway safety and the trailers themselves shall comply with relevant legislation as to construction and lighting. If, in the opinion of the Council’s Executive Director Regeneration & Development or a Police Officer adjustment of the location of the trailers within the layby is necessary the trailers shall be relocated as requested.
  2. Adequate toilet facilities are to be provided to the satisfaction of the Council’s Executive Director Regeneration & Development. You will be required to arrange for the servicing and emptying of the toilets, the contents being discharged at a location acceptable to the Water Authority.
  3. The vicinity of the trailer is to be left in a tidy condition and free from litter. A suitable receptacle for litter is to be provided during the hours of operation and this is to be removed and emptied daily.
  4. The hours of operation are to be approved by the Executive Director Regeneration & Development.
  5. The caravan from which food is prepared and sold shall comply with the relevant food hygiene legislation at all times.
  6. In the event that the Highway Authority or any statutory body requires to gain access to the area of highway occupied, to exercise its duties or functions, the right is reserved to vary or temporarily suspend the licence without prior notice.

Please note that Schedule 4 of the Act grants the Borough Council detailed enforcement powers in the event of any breach of these conditions.
