Which car parks are included?

Your permit allows you to use any variable stay surface level car-park owned by the council, these are listed below:

• King Street

• Hassell Street

• Goose Street

• Blackfriars

• Silverdale Road

• Cherry Orchard

• Buckmaster Avenue (Lyme Valley Park)

Changes to parking permits

From 1 December 2025, most parking permits are sold through the RingGo parking app, a secure and convenient online platform. This change is designed to make the process faster, easier, and more flexible for you.

What you need to know

• You can use your permit to park on any variable stay surface level car park.

• Castle Car Park permits are sold separately.

• The RingGo app is used to buy and manage your permit.

• Up to 5 permits can be bought per RingGo account (If you are buying 10 or more, call us on 01782 717717 to find out how to receive your multi-buy discount).

What you need to do

• Download the RingGo app from your app store or visit the RingGo website.

• Create an account (it's quick and easy to do).

• Select the main car park you need from the map, and pick the '1 month' or '3 months' option when asked how long you want to park for.

• The permit will be valid on our other variable stay surface level car parks.

• Purchase your permit through RingGo. It will be valid for 1 or 3 months from the date that you buy it.

• If you are a company buying on behalf of your staff, we recommend that your staff use the app to purchase their permit and then claim on expenses in accordance with your company policy.
