Frequently asked questions

How do I buy a monthly  permit?

Please complete the on-line form:

Complete the form

When registering, you will need to provide your car registration number.

The miface card can then be collected from Castle House reception or posted to you. This card then links to the car registration number.

You drive into the car park and take the miface card to the ticket machine and hold it against the reader. The ticket machine will then enable you to pay with your chip and pin card for the month’s parking.

If you forget to pay at the end of the first month then you have one days flexibility to pay for the next months parking. The ticket machine does provide an option for a printed receipt if required.

How do I buy a quarterly permit for companies?

Please complete the on-line form:

You will need to provide the car registrations of the cars and drivers' names and contact details.

Please note: you need to have all the information to hand to complete the online form as it cannot be saved partially complete.

Miface cards are not applicable for quarterly permits and each quarter a new application must be made online.

How do I leave the car park if I’ve paid for a monthly or quarterly permit?

When the car with the registered number plate drives up to the barrier it will lift to enable the car  to leave.

Please ensure you allow sufficient time for payments to be processed when renewing your permit to ensure that access is maintained.

The system only recognises one car registration per permit, although the system is being developed to accommodate two cars but only one car can park at any one time.

If you change your car please contact us to change your car registration.

What happens if I have a problem in the car park?

Please use the intercom next to the barrier to speak to an officer to address your issues. If necessary, the officer will  lift the barrier to enable you to leave the car park.
