What is Bump Boost?

Bump Boost is a personalised exercise programme specifically designed to support pregnant women from 0-40 weeks to exercise at their own pace in the swimming pool. This personalised therapeutic water-based programme which has been designed by physiotherapists and osteopaths.

The aqua sessions allow for mums-to-be to exercise safely as being in water is a low impact activity. Its also makes movement easier especially with the body changes later in pregnancy. Your programme can focus on the following areas: whole body, lower back, hip and pelvis. The length of the session can be up to 45 minutes and it will take into account your levels of fatigue on the day of the session.

Participants can follow the exercises individually in the swimming pool on a Bump Boost waterproof tablet. Your personalised programme is created based on the health data you input at the induction and as you follow the programme. The sessions are in the small pool where the water temperature is around 30 degrees C making it the ideal temperature to do the exercises safely. Our pool also has a platform lift, therefore making it easier to get in and out of the pool.
