A new business advisor has been appointed to support ambitious entrepreneurs across Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Under a partnership between Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, Rachel Till will be on hand to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the area looking for expert advice to help fuel growth in 2024.

In the new role, supported by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), Rachel will draw on her expertise as a coach and leadership mentor to give Newcastle-under-Lyme businesses advice and support.

Sarah Simpson, from Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, said:

Rachel’s appointment is one of a series of initiatives and programmes delivered with UKSPF in the borough, which have been developed to help businesses to thrive.

By joining forces with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, we have been able to create a window of opportunity for businesses in the district to access additional expert support.”

Rachel’s work in the borough will include a series of workshops, as well as one-to-one support.

Rachel said:

I’m really excited to get started, get out to businesses and help them with their growth.

I’ll be going out and listening and finding out what they need and using my experience to signpost them to the support that is available.”

Supporting local business is one of the three key ‘Levelling Up’ themes for Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, alongside community and place, and people and skills.
