Keele neighbourhood plan
Regulation 16: publicising a plan proposal
Keele Parish Council submitted a neighbourhood plan proposal to Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council on 12 June 2026. In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, we have published the proposed Keele neighbourhood plan for a period of eight weeks from Monday 3 August to Monday 28 September 2026, in order to receive representations on the submitted plan.
The following documents were submitted to Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council:
- notice of submitted Keele neighbourhood plan (includes details of where and when representations on the plan can be made)

- Keele neighbourhood area map
- basic conditions statement
- consultation statement
- strategic environmental assessment and habitats regulation assessment screening document

Making representations
Representations on the plan should be made directly to Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council before 5pm on Monday 28 September 2026.

Any representations made may include a request to be notified of our decision on the proposed plan.
The Council is aware that since the start of this consultation, a new National Planning Policy Framework has been published (Monday 17 August 2026) by the government.
