Before you complete the form
The sale of land is subject to departmental approval and the following conditions apply:
- An administration fee of £100 must be paid when submitting this enquiry. This fee will be deducted from the sale price upon completion and is non-refundable unless Newcastle Borough Council decide not to sell the land; in this case a full refund will be issued.
- A plan of the location must be submitted with this enquiry with the site clearly edged in red.
- The purchase price will be a minimum of £5,000 and is dependent on the area of land to be sold.
- The purchaser(s) shall be responsible for the erection and future maintenance of fencing on the boundaries of the land, to the satisfaction of the council.
- The purchaser(s) shall obtain planning permission or any other necessary consent relating to the proposed use of the land.
- The purchaser(s) will reimburse the cost of the Public Notice required under the Local Government Act 1972 Section 123(2A) relating to the disposal of land in open space use - if applicable.
- The purchaser(s) shall reimburse our legal costs in connection with the proposed sale. Should the sale not be completed following an instruction to legal then the purchaser(s) will be responsible for the vendor's abortive legal costs.
