How to purchase council land
What happens next?
After you have sent us the form
We will look over the information you provide in the form and let you know if we are happy that we can sell you the land.
You will then need to pay for our external surveyor to assess the land and decide on the price.
The survey, depending on the size of the land, will cost a minimum of £100.
Buying the land
Once we have received the surveyor's report, we will share this with you. You can then decide if you would like to continue with the purchase.
Fees
We will then let you know how much our fees are for the sale of the land. Half of our fees will need to be paid before any work from us starts with the formal sale of the land.
We will advertise the proposed purchase in the local press and our website.
The other half of our fees and the full purchase price will need to be paid on the sale completion.
Covenant
All the land would have a covenant applied to it, as part of the sale.
