Empty property exception criteria

Dwellings being actively marketed for sale have a 12 month limit.
The exception runs from the date the property was first put up for sale, if this was prior to 1 April 2025 then you are entitled to the remaining 12 months from the date it was marketed, not 12 months from 1 April.
For example, if the property was put up for sale on 1 November 2024, then the exception will run from 1 April to 31 October 2025, If the property was put up for sale prior to 1 April 2024 then there is no exception to be awarded.
This exception can only be used and applied for once per owner, you will be required either provide a link to the estate agents website or upload a copy of the sale advert.
