Empty property exception criteria

Dwellings being actively marketed for sale  (12 months limit).

The exception runs from the date the property was first put up for sale, if this was prior to 1st April 2025 then you are entitled to the remaining 12 months from the date it was marketed, not 12 months from 1st April . for example, if the property was put up for sale on 1st November 2024, then the exception will run from 1st April to 31st October 2025, If the property was put up for sale prior to 1st April 2024 then there is no exception to be awarded.

This exception can only be used and applied for once per owner, you will be required either provide a link to the estate agents website or upload a copy of the sale advert.
