Major repair work or structural alterations

Empty properties requiring or undergoing major repairs or structural alterations  (12 months limit).

You will need to confirm the date work started and upload photographs to confirm the work being done. The exception runs from the date the work commenced , if this was prior to 1st April 2025 then you are entitled to the remaining 12 months from the date work commenced, not 12 months from 1st April 2025 . For example, if the work commenced on 1st November 2024, then the exception will run from 1st April to 31st October 2025. If the work stared prior to 1st April 2024 then there is no exception to be awarded.
