Summer Space membership at Jubilee2 is out of this world
Young people in Newcastle-under-Lyme can enjoy unlimited swimming and gym sessions throughout the summer holidays for just £12.
Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is once again providing a limited number of heavily subsidised passes at Jubilee2 – supported by funding from Ben Adams, the Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime – as part of Staffordshire’s Space programme for 2025.
The special offer – for Lyme Card members aged eight to 16-years-old who live in or attend an education provision in the borough – runs from Monday, 28 July to Friday, 29 August (excluding Monday, 26 August).
Children can attend weekday leisure swims from 9.15am to 11.15am and 1.15pm to 3pm. Once a gym induction has been completed, those aged 12 and over can use the gym at certain times during weekdays.
The 410 memberships available can be purchased from Jubilee2’s reception on a first come, first served basis from Monday, 14 July. More information is available here.

One of the council’s priorities is to create healthy, active and safe communities so we’re delighted to provide local children with the opportunity to enjoy unlimited use of the swimming pool and gym at Jubilee2, during the summer holidays, for a minimal cost thanks to funding from the Staffordshire Commissioner.
It’s very easy for young people to get bored during the long school break so we want to encourage them to fill their spare time with fun, healthy and positive activities. The heavily reduced cost of the membership is amazing value and means they can swim and exercise to their heart’s content for just £2.40 per week, alongside all the other great things happening as part of Space 2025.”
Space was originally a popular activities scheme led by Staffordshire Police during the 1980s and 90s aimed at engaging young people. The new version – co-ordinated by the Staffordshire Commissioner – has similar objectives. Fun activities are planned and delivered by a wider collaboration of public, voluntary and private sector organisations.
