Street naming and numbering
How do I register?
You can apply for street naming and numbering by completing the relevant online form.
You will be required to pay the appropriate fee with debit or credit card to successfully submit your application. The form will calculate this fee for you.
What information is required?
A credit or debit card to make the required payment.
If you are applying to register a new development you will also need to submit a site layout plan, this should be marked up to clearly show the property, its main entrance and the boundary, together with the adjoining street.
Royal Mail will not formally register an address and allocate a postcode unless they have received formal notification from us, the Street Naming and Numbering Authority for Newcastle-under-Lyme. This follows from the successful completion and submission of a street naming and numbering form from you.

What happens next?
We will contact you as necessary once we have received your application.
Once a new property number or street name has been registered by Royal Mail we will inform all relevant authorities and stakeholders (i.e. emergency services, highways authory).
