Use of your personal data
We use this information to assess the suitability of an applicant to enter onto a business waste agreement with the council and to enable contracts to be fulfilled, including:
- confirm your identity to provide some services
- inform you of other relevant services and benefits
- update your customer record
- allow us to submit data as required to national central public bodies e.g. the Environment Agency
- to enable us to comply with our legal obligations relating to waste and recycling collections
- to ensure the efficient operation of our waste and recycling service to residents. For clarity, we may use a customer’s data to contact that customer about service issues such as service delays or cancellations due to bad weather, for example
- to assist with the planning, performance monitoring, review and future shaping of the service
- or if you report a missed collection, order new, additional or replacement containers, report missing or damaged containers, request our trade waste disposal and recycling services, request our trade waste disposal and recycling services, make a general service enquiry, report an issue with the quality of the service we deliver, or record a comment, compliment or complaint, including potentially to contact you by post, email or telephone
