Who can request to view the footage?
Third parties can only request to see footage as part of an official investigation and for a legitimate interest, e.g. detection or prevention of crime, public safety or national security.
In this instance, they must make their request via an official data request form. This form has been designed in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 to ensure legitimacy of interest from the person/organisation submitting the request.
